Children's Christian Education

Adult Christian Education
Fall Christian Education Electives
Judgment and Hope :      Place: NW Fellowship Hall
Judgment and hope sing a dramatic duet in Israel’s history through prophets and kings.  Sometimes the theme of judgment sounds the dramatic voice while at other times hope sounds the melody.  Most often judgment and hope blend voices in a chorus that describes how divine purposes are fulfilled.  (Samuel, Kings, Amos, Isaiah, and Micah will be looked at.) This study mirrors the children’s study.
Politics and the Church:  Place:Sanctuary
This class will only meet September 14, 21, & 28!
Join this class to learn about how the church and politics relate.  During these three sessions you will take a quiz, learn the history in this area, and understand how to vote by “The Book.”
The New Testament Community:    Place: Room 19
This Bible study will focus on the New Testament and helps us to view it through our community.  We will look at the birth of a new community, the development of that community, and how there were growing pains along the way.  (Matthew, Mark, Acts, Ephesians, Galatians, Philippians, 2 Timothy, and 2 Corinthians will be looked at.)
Outreach the Biblical Way:

Place: SW Fellowship Hall
This class will begin meeting October 5th through the end of the quarter. We continue to struggle with the question of what outreach means to each one of us.  In this class we will look at what the Bible says about outreach and how we can incorporate that into our lives and what we do.
Young Adult Class:   Place: Room behind the library  This class will focus on issues that are important to young adults.  It will center on the bikemovement documentary that followed the Bikemovement community and takes a look at young adults, church, and the challenge of connecting followers of Christ across generations.  For more information about the Bikemovement go to www.BikeMovement.org .
