An Advent Invitation for Centering Prayer: Making space for God is a constant challenge in our lives.  It becomes even more so in the busy days of the Christmas season.  Centering Prayer is one way to allow ourselves the opportunity to “be with God” in silence.  The focus is the deepening of our relationship with our Creator God.  An ecumenical Group Centering Prayer experience is planned at College Mennonite Church for the four Monday evenings in Advent, November 30, December 7, 14, and 21.  The time will be hosted by Marie Stoltzfus from College Mennonite.  The Readers will be from various churches.  Prayer time will start at 7:30 p.m. lasting about a half hour followed by a DVD with teachers and authors Fathers Richard Rohr and Thomas Keating, teachers and authors about centering prayer and contemplation.  We expect to end by 8:45 p.m. If Centering Prayer is new to you, don’t hesitate to come.  There is guidance for our times together.  If you cannot come to all the sessions, come for those to which you are able.  You do not need to sign up.  Invite other friends who may also be interested.
